Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 30, 2026

1. Who we are

CodesBlox ("we", "us", "the Site") is an independent project operated from Madrid, Spain.

For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR") and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD), CodesBlox is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

You can reach us at any time at support@codesblox.com.

2. The short version

CodesBlox has no accounts, no logins and no sign-up forms. We never ask for your name, your email, your Roblox username or your password.

The personal data that does exist is limited to two things: technical information your browser sends automatically to any website it visits, and information collected by Google when advertising is displayed. This policy explains both, what legal basis we rely on, and what you can do about it.

3. What we collect

3.1 Server logs

When you request a page, our web server and hosting provider automatically record technical information: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, your browser and operating system (user-agent string) and the referring page, if any. This happens on essentially every website and is necessary to deliver the page, keep the service secure and diagnose faults.

3.2 Anonymous page-view counts

When you open a game page we record one entry consisting of the game and the timestamp, used to calculate the weekly "Top Games" ranking. This entry is counted against the game, not against you: it is not linked to an account, a cookie or an identifier, and it cannot be used to reconstruct your browsing history.

3.3 Advertising data collected by third parties

CodesBlox displays advertising supplied by Google AdSense, a service of Google Ireland Limited. When an ad is served, Google and its advertising partners may process technical data about your device and your visit — including your IP address, device and browser characteristics, the page the ad appeared on, whether the ad was viewed or clicked, and identifiers stored in cookies or similar technologies.

We do not have access to this data in identifiable form. Google acts as an independent controller for the data it collects through its advertising services. Details are set out in section 5 and in our Cookie Policy.

3.4 Information you send us

If you write to support@codesblox.com — to report a wrong or expired code, suggest a game, or ask anything else — we receive whatever you put in that message, at minimum your email address. We use it only to reply to you and to act on the report or suggestion.

3.5 What we never collect

We do not collect or store your name, postal address, telephone number, date of birth, Roblox username, Roblox password or any account credentials. No page on this Site asks for them, and nobody acting for CodesBlox will ever ask you for them. Redeeming a code only ever happens inside Roblox itself.

4. Legal bases for processing

Server logs
Used for delivering the Site, security, abuse prevention and fault diagnosis. Legal basis: legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f).
Page-view counts
Used to produce the weekly "Top Games" ranking. Legal basis: legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f).
Advertising cookies and identifiers
Used to serve ads, cap how often you see the same ad, detect invalid traffic and measure performance. Legal basis: consent, Art. 6(1)(a).
Emails you send us
Used to reply to you and handle your report. Legal basis: legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f).

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have weighed those interests against your rights and freedoms and concluded that the processing is limited, expected and not intrusive. You have the right to object — see section 10.

Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time, with no effect on processing carried out before withdrawal.

5. Advertising

5.1 Google AdSense

CodesBlox is free to use and is funded by advertising rather than paywalls, subscriptions or "premium codes". Ads are supplied by Google AdSense.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your visits to this Site and other sites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you.
  • You can review how Google uses data when you use its partners' sites or apps at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
  • Google's own privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.

5.2 We do not allow personalised advertising

Given the nature of this Site and the audience it attracts, we have configured our advertising so that only non-personalised ads are served, across the whole Site and to all visitors. Non-personalised ads are targeted using general contextual signals such as the content of the page and coarse geographic location, and are not based on a profile of your past browsing behaviour.

Non-personalised ads still use cookies or similar technologies for frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting and fraud and abuse prevention. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, these are only stored after you consent through our consent banner.

5.3 Your controls

  • On this Site: use the consent banner to accept or reject advertising cookies. Clearing this site's cookies in your browser will bring the banner back so you can change your mind.
  • Across Google services: manage your preferences at myadcenter.google.com.
  • Across participating vendors: opt out at youronlinechoices.eu (Europe) or optout.aboutads.info (United States).
  • In your browser: block or delete cookies through your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy.

Rejecting advertising cookies does not restrict any part of CodesBlox. All codes and guides remain free to read and copy.

6. Children and young people

CodesBlox publishes information about Roblox games, and we are aware that a meaningful part of our audience is under the age of 18, including children under 13.

Because of this:

  • We have designated CodesBlox as child-directed in our advertising settings. Google therefore restricts data collection and use for ad serving on this Site in line with the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and comparable rules, and personalised advertising is disabled for all visitors (see section 5.2).
  • We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through any form, account or submission, because the Site has none.
  • In Spain, a child may consent to the processing of their personal data from the age of 14; below that age, consent must be given by a parent or guardian. If you are under 14, please ask a parent or guardian before accepting advertising cookies.
  • If you are a parent or guardian and you believe a child has sent us personal data through the support inbox, write to support@codesblox.com and we will delete it.

7. Who receives your data

We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. Data is disclosed only to:

  • Our hosting provider, which processes server logs on our behalf as a data processor under Article 28 GDPR.
  • Google Ireland Limited, in connection with advertising and its consent management tooling. Google acts as an independent controller for advertising data.
  • Public authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.

8. International transfers

Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the safeguards Google relies on — currently the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Google's transfer arrangements are described in its privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

If our hosting provider processes data outside the EEA, equivalent safeguards apply.

9. Retention

  • Server logs: retained by our hosting provider under its standard operational policy, ordinarily no longer than 30 days, then deleted or overwritten.
  • Page-view counts: retained only as long as needed to calculate weekly rankings and cleared periodically.
  • Emails: retained while your query is open and for a reasonable period afterwards, then deleted.
  • Advertising data: retained by Google under its own retention schedules, which we do not control.

10. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • rectify inaccurate data;
  • erase your data ("right to be forgotten");
  • restrict processing in certain circumstances;
  • data portability, where processing is based on consent or a contract and carried out by automated means;
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

In practice, because we hold almost nothing tied to your identity, there is usually nothing to access, correct or delete. To exercise any of these rights, write to support@codesblox.com. We will respond within one month, extendable by two further months for complex requests. We may need to ask for information to verify your identity, and we may be unable to act if we cannot link the data to you.

If you believe your rights have been infringed, you may complain to the Spanish supervisory authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es, C/ Jorge Juan 6, 28001 Madrid), or to the authority in your country of residence.

11. Security

The Site is served over HTTPS. Our staff administration panel is protected by a password and two-factor authentication and is not reachable from the public Site. No system is perfectly secure, but the amount of personal data involved here is deliberately minimal.

12. Automated decision-making

We do not carry out automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.

13. External links

CodesBlox links to third-party sites, including Roblox, Discord and X/Twitter. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Read their policies before providing them with any information.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Site changes. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Material changes affecting advertising or cookies will be reflected in the consent banner so you can review your choices.
